An album released in 1979 by Gal Costa, one of the leading female singers in the Brazilian MPB scene, who helped spark the Tropicalia movement alongside Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Maria Bethânia, Mutantes, Tom Zé, and others. This is her 10th album, featuring 12 studio-recorded tracks selected from 20 songs chosen for a long-running concert held in Brazil that same year. The album showcases her emotional renditions of exquisite songs composed by Caetano Veloso, the duo of Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos, Luiz Melodia, and the duo of João de Barro and Alberto Ribeiro. Highlights include A3, an exotic slow number which is an arrangement of the title track from her 1973 masterpiece India, and B1, an acoustic tune composed by Caetano Veloso. This is a promotional Japanese pressing that was issued the same year as the Brazilian pressing.
