A masterpiece album recorded in Finland in 1976 by Irakere, a leading Afro-Cuban jazz group led by Chucho Valdes, and played three years before the 1979 release of the same title, this is a more spiritual and energetic masterpiece. A1 is speedy and thrilling rhythm and horn section, psychedelic distorted guitars and spacy synthesizers, are Afro-Cuban jazz that combines cool jazz with primitive Latin feeling that blows hot. The Finnish version of A1 is the coolest and most danceable.
