This is the second album by Za Onidaekoza (Ondekoza), a Japanese traditional percussion group formed in 1969 by chairman Den Tagayasu and a group of young mens from Sado Island, released in 1978. The album features four tracks of real metamusik that interpret Japanese roots music as synonymous with minimalism in modern music. It is an avant-garde work that focuses on the fundamental rhythms of the human being, and which we can't help feeling has something in common with the traditional music of the Burundi people in Africa. Listen to it in its entirety and enjoy.
A1: Monochrome II
B3: Mikuni Gensokyoku
