This is a debut album released in 1987 by koto player Satomi Shinkai, who studied under Michio Miyagi. Koto music is not a genre that attracts much interest, as it is often associated with classical traditional music, but this album features all original compositions, two of which were composed by Satomi Shinkai herself, and is completely different in style from the previous ones. It is true that there are unstable scales and dynamics in some parts, reminiscent of contemporary music. All four pieces in the collection are over 10 minutes long.
