A Certain Ratio
Do the Du (casse)
Factory (US) 1981
Facus 4 (12”) Light green label on side B.
sleeve : VG+(RW, wear on edge and corner, color-faded, dirts)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly noise caused by light hairlines)

Released in 1981, this four-track 12-inch single is by A Certain Ratio, the band formed in Manchester, UK in 1977 by Peter Terrell, Simon Topping, Jez Kerr, Martin Moscrop, and Donald Johnson. The post-punk-leaning B2 is also excellent, but the real highlights are A1/A2/B1: floor-friendly funk-latina tunes driven by bouncy funk beats, noisy cutting guitar, and lazily delivered vocals that lock together beautifully. Highly recommended.

A1: Do The Du (Casse)
A2: The Fox
B1: Shack Up
