Released in 1979, this is a masterpiece album by Adrian Gurvitz, a UK singer who debuted in the 60's as a member of The Knack, and went on to work with The Gun and The Graeme Edge Band before going solo. Gurvitz's style has changed with the times, from garage beat to pop rock, but this first solo album evolved into adult oriented rock with a very mellow taste, incorporating disco, R&B, and soul, in response to the time period of 1979. The backing band is also excellent. The backing music is also excellent, making the whole album a pleasant listen. I highly recommend A4, which features brass/strings and falsetto vocals with a Philly flavor.
