Air is the group consisting of Henry Threadgill, Fred Hopkins, and Steve McCall, three players from the Chicago AACM who have played with David Murray, Don Pullen, Andrew Cyrille, and many other free musicians, This is a 1987 reissue of an album released on the Japanese label Whynot in 1975. The album features the intricate interplay and groove of B1, and the ethno tune B2, which plunges into a deep world of earthy flute and bass intertwinement.
