Featured in the first edition of guidebook Obscure Sound, this is the masterful second album by Naples-born vocalist Alan Sorrenti, released in 1974. The album includes tracks like A2, a blues-rock piece imbued with a poignant, melancholic canzone spirit, and A3, where Alan Sorrenti’s soft falsetto vocals sway against the backdrop of sparse percussion and a rustic-toned guitar. The entire record is a tapestry of nostalgic, softly-hued psychedelic folk rock. Over time, Sorrenti’s style evolved, shedding its psychedelic elements in favor of a more adult-oriented approach, but the shimmering, ethereal quality and vivid coloration of this album remain truly exceptional.
A2: Dicitencello Vuje
A3: Ma Tu Mi Ascolti
