An album featuring the earliest recordings of American saxophonist Albert Ayler, who made a name for himself as a leading figure in avant-garde jazz in 1960s New York. This recording was made in Stockholm, Sweden, in 1962 as a trio with Torbjörn Hultcrantz (bass) and Sune Spångberg (drums). Originally released in 1963 in a nearly handmade edition by Bengt Nordström's Bird Notes label, this album saw its first official release through DIW. Additionally, this edition includes a track not found on the original release, "Moanin’," which is absolutely outstanding.
