Albert Heath, an American drummer who emerged in the 1950s and played with John Coltrane, Cannonball Adderley, J.J. Johnson, Mal Wal Waldron, and many other groups, and later continued to showcase his skills on sessions with numerous jazz musicians. This his leader album was released in 1974. Heath's sextet includes his brothers Jimmy Heath and Percy Heath, Curtis Fuller, Ted Dunbar, and Kenny Barron. The album is a masterpiece of cool post-bop with a comfortable groove throughout, including A1, a soul-jazz song with a gentle 8-bit beat and a soft flute melody, and A2, a beautiful slow number with gently floating flute, bass, and electric piano. This is a very rare original US pressing with the back side of the outer sleeve unprinted.
