Active since the 1960s, Aldo Romano has played with many of Europe's greatest jazz players, including the Kuhn brothers Rolf and Joachin, Henri Texier, Giorgio Gaslini, Jasper Van't Hof, and Paolo Damiani. This leader album was released in 1979. A1 is ethnic fusion with dry-toned bass and acoustic guitar, A3 features Michel Portal's pensive bandoneon. The jazz-rock tune A4 with Aldo's tasteful vocals bouncing on the dry percussion and guitar melody is the best of all. Highly recommended.
