A 1984 third album by Swiss electric harpist Andreas Vollenweider, known for a string of New Age/Ambient works touched with a Balearic sensibility. Joining him here is multi-instrumentalist Budi Siebert, who also left behind a classic for the German New Age label Biber Records. Vollenweider’s musical world was already fully formed by the time of his debut, and the quality remains undiminished on this third outing. Delicate electric harp lines and celestial acoustic instrumentation open up a mystical, endlessly beautiful landscape, evoking a kind of sonic utopia. A truly exceptional record.
