This is a solo piano album released in 1975 by American pianist Andrew Hill, who left numerous masterpieces on Blue Note from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. It is a Japanese exclusive edition supervised by the legendary promoter Toshinari Koinuma, known for summoning many jazz musicians to Japan for lectures. The album was recorded in the same year at Vanguard Studio in New York. Hill's performance is simply magnificent, weaving beautiful, delicate, and energetic melodies improvisationally, following the emotions. The Jazz Classics A4 track is particularly moving. Although Hill was not appreciated in 1970s America, it's deeply moving that many great works were born from Japan, which truly understood his greatness.
