This is an album released in 1975 by the American pianist Andrew Hill, known for producing numerous masterpieces on Blue Note from the mid-1960s to the early 1970s. The album features a variety of talented musicians. The first three tracks (A1 to A3) consist of a trio with Lee Konitz (saxophones), Ted Curson (trumpet and flugelhorn), Cecil McBee (bass), and Art Lewis (drums). Track A4 is a duo with Lee Konitz, and the three tracks on the B-side feature a quartet with Robin Keniyatta (alto sax), Stafford James (bass), and Barry Altschul (drums). The session, which unfolds with a groovy Brazilian feel on track A3 and a diverse and illustrious lineup, is truly remarkable. Highly recommended.
