The Beating of Wings
ZTT (UK) 1985
ZTT IQ 5 (LP) w/original inner sleeve.
sleeve : EX(SOC, light wear on corner.)

This album was released in 1985 by Andrew Poppy, who was a member of the group The Lost Jockey in the early 1980s and made his solo debut on Trevor Horn's ZTT label. The album features a large ensemble featuring orchestral instruments such as violin, flute, clarinet, saxophone, and voice, as well as minimal electronics using samplers and synthesizers, and expresses post-minimalism after Steve Reich and Philip Glass. The A-side is in the style of its typical minimal music, while the B1 is a very interesting experimental minimal wave with a lot of electronics, which was discovered by Trevor Horn.
