This album was released in 1975 by Arild Andersen, a Norwegian bassist who has recorded many masterpieces for ECM Records, a cutting-edge jazz label in Germany, and has demonstrated his talent in many sessions. The quartet formation featured Jon Balke(p), Knut Riisnaes(ts,ss,ft), and Pal Thowsen(ds). All tracks are so amazing, but B3, after a moment of silence, the track takes you into a spiritual world and then into a strong improv jazz groove with a tremendous tension. This is the ECM sound, full of spirituality and transparency.
