Espirits de sel
L’Electrobande (France) 1977
ELB 7701 (LP) gatefold sleeve.
sleeve : EX-(slightly dirts inside of gatefold sleeve.)
media : M/M

The band is led by saxophonist Jouk Minor, who has played with Eje Thelin and Pierre Favre, and features Christian Lete, drummer for the jazz-rock group Synthesis, Clivage's saxophonist Jean Querlier, Joseph Traindl, trombonist of The Reform Art Unit, and Odile Bailleux, keyboardist. Recorded over three days in a Paris studio that same year, the entire album is a very powerful piece of free jazz that mixes ethnic sentiment and energetic interplay, in the vein of Don Cherry and the Art Ensemble of Chicago. The ethnic and chaotic world of the B-side is especially overwhelming. Recommended.

This is a deadstock unused item. There is a thin stain on the inside of gatefold sleeve.

A1: Deuxieme Jour - El Serreno
B1: Troisiemte Jour - Ecolong
B2: Troisiemte Jour - Wings
