Art Ensemble of Chicago, a free/experimental jazz group with roots in traditional African music, consisting of Lester Bowie, Joeph Jarman, Roscoe Mitchell, Malachi Favors and Famoudou Don Moye. This album was released in 1981 from Greek label. Live recordings of a concert in Italy in 1980. The best dramatic performance is the AEOC's familiar jungle sound, which opens with a theme that pays homage to African folk music and early jazz and unfolds like the rituals of an untamed indigenous tribe.
