This album was released in 1959 by Arthur Lyman, an American keyboard percussionist who has created a number of exotica music incorporating Afro-Cuban rhythms and has been praised along with Martin Denny. As the title suggests, this is a work on the theme of jazz, and it is a piece for summer, featuring mainly standard numbers, with light arrangements that reflect the soft sounds of vibes and marimbas, and a refreshingly cool smooth jazz throughout. The album also features a Hawaiian cover at the end, which is all the better for it.This is the Japanese reissue in 1992.
