This album by Swiss flutist Aurele Nicolet was released on Trio Records' "Contemporary Musicians Series", and seems to have been released in conjunction with Aurele Nicolet's Japan tour. Aurele Nicolet has been active for a long time since the 1950s, and in 1974 she recorded Toru Takemitsu's "Miniatur II" with Ursula Holliger and Heinz Holliger for Deutsche Grammophon. In 1974, he recorded Toru Takemitsu's "Miniatur II" with Ursula Holliger and Heinz Holliger for Deutsche Grammophon, demonstrating his talent in the contemporary/post-modern field. This album also features works by composers such as Pierre Boulez, Yorinori Matsudaira, Kazuo Fukui, Jurg Wyttenbach, and Luciano Berio, with Jurg Wyttenbach joining on piano in A1 and B1. The whole piece is a wonderful performance, but the most noteworthy is B1, where flute and piano intertwine like a spiral in the middle part of the piece, and even an amplified electronic sound appears. White promo version.
