A self-produced third album released in 1984 by multi-musician Ayuo Takahashi, son of Yuji Takahashi, one of Japan’s foremost contemporary composers. Following his previous work, Ryuichi Sakamoto appears on the album, alongside a remarkable cast of artists connected to the School label and its surrounding scene, including Koharu Kisaragi, Tatsuro Kondo of Chakra, Saeko Suzuki, EPO, Taeko Onuki, and Kishiko Katsumi. Across the entire album, Takahashi maintains an artistic and poetic new wave direction imbued with the atmosphere of London. Yet what makes him truly exceptional is the way he always slips an experimental sensibility into the music—most notably on B2, which can be heard as a prototype for his masterpiece Shizuka ni Okite Goran, later featured in the guidebook Japanese Rare Groove / Warearic Disc Guide. The sound production is also outstanding, standing far ahead of much of what was being made in Japan at the time.

A4: 月の庭
B2: ながれる
