An album released in 1978 by Azimuth, a group featuring Kenny Wheeler (trumpet, flugelhorn), John Taylor (piano), and Norma Winstone (vocals). The album showcases a stunning blend of Taylor's ethereal organ and piano, Wheeler's emotionally rich horn lines, and most notably, Winstone's exquisite and delicate voice, which seems to float gracefully through the space. It wouldn't be an overstatement to say that Winstone holds the key to Azimuth's unique world. All compositions are by John Taylor, reflecting a soundscape that resonates with contemporary music influences, such as Steve Reich. Every Azimuth album is exceptional and highly recommended.
