Joey Baron, a drummer who has played on many sessions with Bill Friesell and John Abercrombie, Tim Berne, a saxophonist who has played on over 200 albums since the 70's, and cellist Hank Roberts, who played on Alex Cline's ECM gem "The Lamp", This trio album was released in 1988. Tim Berne plays a nostalgic melody in pentatonic scale on the drums via an electric process, and the percussion and cello floating in a tranquil sound field create a mosferic space. This is an excellent piece of free form avant jazz that should be appreciated as contemporary music.
