A 1984 album by the 360° Experience, centered around American drummer Beaver Harris and pianist Don Pullen. Harris delivered outstanding performances in numerous sessions with Archie Shepp, Marion Brown, and Grachan Moncur III, while Pullen first came to prominence in Giuseppi Logan’s group during the 1960s and went on to record memorable collaborations with Milford Graves, Albert Ayler, Charles Mingus, George Adams, and many others. The ensemble also features Hamiet Bluiett on baritone saxophone, Ricky Ford on tenor saxophone, Buster Williams on bass, and Francis Haynes on steel drums. Throughout the album, the group delivers richly imaginative ensemble performances, infused with Caribbean and African folk traditions as well as a profound respect for the roots of jazz. A truly remarkable album.
