Bill Evans, one of the leading pianists of modern jazz, who introduced the impressionistic taste of early 20th century musicians such as Debusy and Ravel into jazz and greatly influenced Herbie Hancok, Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett, released this album in 1961. It joined with Scott LaFaro (b) and Paul Motian (ds). The album includes A1, which features the famous "Israel" by American trumpeter John Carisi, who was active at the same time, and B1, a score by Mils Davis, which is also played on Cannonball Adderley's 1958 album "Portrait of Cannonball", in which Evans also participated. This is an early pressing of the reissue released by OJC in 1982, without printed barcode.
