This is a 1974 leader album by Swedish bassist Bjorn Alkes, who has been active since the 1960s and has played in many groups with Eje Thelin, Lars Gullin, Bernt Rosengren, and other important Nordic artists. Quartet work with Gunnar Bergsten, Goran Strandberg and Fredrik Noren. The album is a modal jazz piece with straight-ahead bop, led by a double bass, but it is also characterized by glimpses of ethnic Scandinavian ethnicity. This may also be Don Cherry's influence. The final track B4 is groovy.

A3: Nepal
B4: Komuunisten
