A 1977 release by American jazz pianist Bob Degen, who had been active since the 1960s and based in Germany from the early ’70s onward. This intimate duo recording features bassist Harvie Swartz, known for his work with Steve Kuhn and Double Image. While the album includes a few covers — notably a rendition of Charlie Parker — it primarily showcases original compositions by both musicians. The entire session maintains a calm, understated tension, evoking the cool, muted atmosphere of a cloudy meadow as depicted on the cover art. A beautifully restrained and mature work — quietly captivating and perfect for unhurried listening. Highly recommended.
