This album was released in 1978 by British musician Brian Eno, who began his career as a member of the British rock band Roxy Music. It was the fourth in the Ambient series, which began with the concept of 'environmental music', inspired by Erik Satie's idea of 'furniture music' and defining music as an environment in urban life. The title of the album is "On Land", and it is a historical masterpiece, a super deep ambient world that unfolds throughout the album, with synthesised drones spreading out ethereally as if looking out to the far horizon. On the back of the jacket is an illustration of the 'Ambient Speaker System', a playback device. Inoyamaland's album Danzindanpozidon, produced by Haruomi Hosono, is a tribute to this album, including the artwork. The liner notes include a commentary by Satoshi Ashikawa, who worked with Hiroshi Yoshimura as a leading figure in environmental music in Japan. This is a very rare promo with just a stamp on the white label.
