Camera Obscura is a one-off unit consisting of Matthias Becker, Haus Niederberger, Michael Peters, and Urs Fuchs of the German experimental music group Elektronische Musik aus Koln (EMAK). This album was released in 1984, and features a some synthesizers including the Fairlight CMI, VCS 3, and Korg Poly 800, along with Hammond organ, guitar, and a guitar. The A-side is a progressive, Krautrock-inspired piece. The B-side is a more remarkable one, with more than 20 minutes of ambient electronics that expands on Robert Fripp and Brian Eno's 1975 collaboration "Evening Star" with endless, deep soundscapes. It's wonderful.
