Cassandra Wilson, the amazing singer from Mississippi who has been highly acclaimed on the major American scene, winning a Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Performance in 1996 and Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2009. The album was released on CD in the U.S.A. at the time, and only this German pressing’s vinyl was produced for European distribution. The album features Mark Johson (dr), Rod Williams (p), Kevin Bruce Harris (b), Tani Tabbal (dr), Reggie Washington (b) and Jean-Paul Bourelly (g), all of whom have been active in the jazz scene since the 1980s. This is a masterpiece.
