This album was composed between 1968 and 1969 by American contemporary composer Charles Wuorinen and was developed at the Columbia-Princeton Electronic Music Center in New York City. The RCA Synthesizer is a vacuum-tube, punch-tape-controlled computer sound source with the basic elements of today's synthesizers, but its sound has the feel of a modified electronic organ.
