Jazz bassist Charlie Haden, who has played with the Ornette Coleman Group and with Don Cherry and many other artists, released this album in 1983. This is a jazz orchestral work featuring many of his friends and allies, including Michael Mantler and Dewey Redman. The title track A2 has a nostalgic gypsy sound and the B2 has a free-flowing but somewhat melancholy atmosphere. Charlie Haden's bass solo is super spiritual.

A2: The Ballad of the Fallen
B2: La Pasionaria
