Pianist Chick Corea, who has been taking on new challenges for a long time, including Return to Forever. He recorded with bassist Miroslav Vitous, who was a major member of Weather Report in the 1970s, and drummer Roy Haynes, who has been actively involved in free jazz since the 1960s. Disc 1 features free improvisations by a trio/duo, selected from a vast collection of recordings that were improvised with little or no preparation. Disc 1 is a free improvisation by a trio/duo, and consists of tracks selected from a vast amount of recordings. Disc 2, on the other hand, features Thelonious Monk's music in its entirety, and is performed with great depth and consideration.
