Swedish jazz saxophonist Christer Boustedt, who has been active as an actor since the 1960s, released his first leader album on Dragon Records in 1978. The quintet consists of Goran Ostling (ts), Ivar Lindell (b), Ivve Oscarsson (dr) and Stefan Forssen (p). It's a modern jazz piece with orthodox bebop style, but the unison of Goran Ostling's tenor saxophone and Stefan Forssen's colorful piano make it an excellent piece with flowing melody work and elegant atmosphere. I would like to listen to it slowly on a holiday afternoon. (Chee)
