This 10" album was released in 1989 by Christian Marclay, a turntablist who has been active since the 1980s and is one of the most important figures in the avant-art scene in New York, USA. This is a reissue released in 1997 in limited quantities by ReR Megacorp in the UK. The work is a mix and reconstruction of records by Louis Armstrong, Jane Birkin & Serge Gainsbourg, John Cage, Maria Callas, Martin Denny, Jimi Hendrix, John Zorn, and others, using multiple turntables for modulation and scratching. The fact that this was released as an analog disc in 1989 is truly astounding. Marclay's accomplishments are immeasurable.
