Claudio Cojaniz
Ramo Ramo (Ypnosisetnomuzik)
Fonit Cetra (Italy) 1989
LPX 239 (LP) w/original inner sleeve.
sleeve : M(IN SHRINK)
media : EX-/EX-(some slightly noise caused by some slightly wear)

Released in 1989, this solo album is by Italian pianist Claudio Cojaniz, an artist known for his highly distinctive work ranging from avant-jazz to orchestral music. From the astonishing A1/A2, where classical equal temperament seems to find a strange balance with primitive African and Southeast Asian musical elements, to B1, where strings and trumpet paint a lyrical landscape, and B5, which feels like an invitation into unexplored territory à la Jon Hassell, the entire album is filled with fiercely original, genre-defying experimental music. A little-known, absolutely killer masterpiece. In terms of direction, it also brings to mind the series of works on Italy’s Lynx Records, represented by Lino Capra Vaccina, as well as the sensibility of French experimental musician Pascal Comelade. Dead-stock unused copies are now in stock. Please note: this is a dead-stock unused copy that was opened at our store for condition checking. There are some light scuffs on the vinyl caused by the paper inner sleeve, and slight surface noise may be heard in places.

A1: Yeti
A2: U.T. “Ghandi”
B1: Japo Requiem 1 - Cerimoniale
B5: A cena da Michele P. 1 - Michele e Lucia P.
