The second album by Conjunto Clasico, a New York salsa band formed by Ramon Castro and featuring Tito Nieves, was released in 1980. With Ramon Rodriguez as producer/composer and Tito Nieves' lustrous vocals over crisp Latin percussion rhythms and a blistering horn section, the album is an excellent example of New York-style salsa and son with Puerto Rican influences and sophisticated sound production. This is an excellent album.
