This is the only album released in 1972 by Convection Section, a one-off project featuring a total of 13 musicians from the Netherlands and Germany, including Jasper Van’t Hoff on piano, Toto Blanke on guitar, Hendrik Haverhoek on bass, and Eric Ineke on drums. From original scores by the participating members to covers of artists like Horace Silver and John Fogerty, the album showcases groovy soul jazz and mood jazz with excellent arrangements throughout. The warm sound, enhanced by a unique room reverb, adds to the enjoyable listening experience. Highly recommended.
