A hidden masterpiece left behind by Cuarteto Chaman, the only work by the group formed around Litto Nebbia, one of Argentina's most iconic musicians alongside Luis Alberto Spinetta and Charly García, and featuring Iris Guinazú (vocals), Norberto Minichillo (drums, percussion, vocals), Ricardo Capellano (guitar), and Pastor More (bass). The group adopted the concept of a shaman—a member of a community who dedicates their life to preserving collective spiritual health by integrating the collective soul through songs received from ancestral spirits, based on an ancient word with Hindu roots and origins in Siberia. This work seeks to create a unique musical language rooted in inner experiences of their land and ancestral culture. Fusing primitive percussion rhythms, incantatory voicing reminiscent of Swedish singer Anita Livstrand—who was featured in the guidebook OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION for her 1978 work Motet—and modern sounds of guitars and synthesizers, the album unfolds a one-of-a-kind shamanic crossover music. A single coherent world runs through the entire work. No vinyl or CD release exists.
