Polskie Nagrania Muza (Poland) 1980
SX 1876 (LP) Beige label. w/insert.
sleeve : VG+(SRW, TEOC, SPSE: 7cm crack on bottom, wear on edge and corner.)
media : EX-/EX-(some light noise caused by slightly hairlines.)
Renowned as one of Poland’s most important vocalists since the 1960s, Czesław Niemen issued this striking self-produced album in 1980. Known internationally for his collaboration with Slawomir Kulpowicz on Samarpan(highlighted in OBSCURE SOUND REVISED EDITION), Niemen took complete control here — vocals, performance, recording, mixing, and even the artwork. Following his highly acclaimed works Katharsis and Idee Fixe, this album expands his vision with a rock-based foundation enhanced by bold, imaginative use of synthesizers. The result is a forward-looking, avant-garde sound world that recalls the adventurous electronic explorations of Egberto Gismonti in the 1980s, yet remains uniquely Niemen. An inspired and essential piece from a true innovator.
