An album released by Old and New Dreams, a group consisting of Don Cherry, Dewey Redman, Charlie Haden, and Eddie Blackwell, on ECM in 1979, following their release on Black Saint. Similar to their Black Saint works, this album expresses their respect for Ornette Coleman and the current state of the four musicians. A2, based on the ethnic music of Ghana, Africa, is a wonderful African jazz track with the excellent interplay of Don Cherry and Dewey Redman's African melodic unison and Ed Blackwell's indigenous drum/percussion beats. A3, with its nostalgic trumpet by Don Cherry, is, of course, an ethnic jazz piece by Don Cherry. And B2, composed by Dewey Redman, is a very dangerous world where the spirit inherited from Ornette merges with ethnic music.
A2: Togo
B2: Orbit of La-Ba
