East Side West Side
OWL Records (France) 1981
OWL 024 (LP) 2nd edition, w/japanese insert.
sleeve : NM(SOC)
media : EX-/NM(side A has slightly warp that does not affect to playback.)

Released in 1981, this album features the trio of drummer Daniel Humair, pianist Jim McNeely and bassist Mike richmond, who collaborated with Henri Taxier and was a leading figure in the French avant jazz scene. From post-bop to elegant contemporary jazz, the trio's sophisticated performance is a breathtaking blend of styles, from John Coltrane's Sheets of Sound on the speedy A1 to Jim McNeely's bouncy piano on A3. The most recommended tracks are A3, with its subtle blend of Brazilian flavours, and A2/B2, with Mike Richmond's wood bass singing melodies. This is the second edition with a new coloured cover.

Side A has slightly warp that does not affect to playback. Side B is fine.

A3: Wayne
B2: Vendome
