David Liebman is an American saxophonist who first came to prominence in Miles Davis' group and has since released a number of classic albums for ECM and others. This album released in 1988 in addition to the trio of Jack DeJohnette (dr) and Dave Holland (b), Liebman is joined by Caris Cisentin on oboe. Liebeman's fast blowing soprano saxophone on A2 and B1 is amazing, but it's Jack Dejohnette's open and aggressive drumming that really catches the ear.
