This is the 1978 3rd album by American female singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, who caused a sensation when she came to Japan as a member of Thad Jones & Mel Lewis, and after releasing her debut album "Afro Blue" in Japan in 1974, left behind numerous disco classics from the late 70s to the 80s. With a super luxurious lineup of musicians supporting her, including Stanley Clark, Chick Corea, Ronnie Foster, Harvey Mason, Airto Moreira, George Duke, and David T. Walker, this is a masterpiece where you can enjoy her black-infused vocals, rooted in gospel soul, and crossover sounds that span funk, disco, R&B, and more. It's an album that sounds great no matter when you listen to it.
