American saxophonist Dewey Redman was active with Ornette Coleman and Keith Jarrett's groups from the late 60s, and formed Old and New Dreams with Don Cherry, Charlie Haden and Ed Blackwell in the 70s and 80s, leaving behind some classic albums for ECM and Black Saint. This is his leader album released in 1975, featuring Ted Daniel, Leroy Jenkins, Sirone and Eddie Moore. The album features mainly avant-jazz with strong interplay, as well as avant-ethno jazz such as A3 and B3, where Redman's zithers create a mysterious sound.
