An album released in 1987 by the acoustic group Dharana, featuring Hermeto Pascoal as the arranger and the virtuosic guitarist Andre Geraissati as a special guest. On the back cover, there’s a comment from Toninho Horta, who praises the album for its gypsy-inspired groove and the brilliant interplay between violin and guitar. And indeed, the blend of gypsy rhythms on the violin with a Brazilian approach on acoustic guitar creates a grand and imaginative musical world. Track B1, featuring Andre Geraissati, evokes a dramatic progression that gently settles into a serene ending. Track A5, themed around Minas, and the Balearic-Brazilian influenced B4 are also outstanding highlights.
