This album released in 1983 couples two of Don Cherry's historic classic albums, "Mu", recorded in Paris, France, in 1969 and released on the Actuel series under BYG. With drummer Ed Blackwell, an old friend from the Ornette Colemane group. The album opens with Cherry's pocket trumpet, which screams freaky like an elephant's cry, and Blackwell's furious drumming in response, followed by a middle section where an ethnic melody on bamboo flute takes you on a trip to another land, and then ends with a mandala world that seems to represent the chaos of the universe. This is a work that could be called the starting point of the ethnic jazz that Don Cherry will push forward from now on.
