n album released in 1979 by an unconventional trio consisting of Joseph Jarman, the lead player of the Art Ensemble of Chicago, percussionist Don Moye, and pianist Don Pullen. Released by the renowned Italian label Black Saint. Track A1 is over 14 minutes long, featuring noise-like sounds from the piano, reminiscent of a prepared piano, primitive percussion, and organic flute, creating a complex interplay. A2 transitions from Afro-marching rhythms to authentic Mississippi-rooted blues, while B1 unleashes a storm of chaotic free improvisation. This is 100% Black Spirit, Black Ethno Jazz. Every collaboration by these three is remarkable. Highly recommended.
