This album was released in 1963 by Don Wilkerson, a soul-jazz/R&B saxophonist who worked as a sideman for Ray Charles and Amos Milburn in the 50s and left his work with Grant Green for Blue Note in the 60s. Quintet with Grant Green (g), Johnny Acea (p), Lloyd Trotman (b) and WIllie Bobo (ds). This fun album features soul jazz and R&B with his own scores, as well as Texas country music. This is the Japanese reissue released from Toshiba EMI's <Blue Note 4000 Series Ultra Collection> in 1993.
