This is a duo album released in 1987 by Dudu Pukwana, an alto saxophonist from South Africa who also played in the Afro-jazz rock band Assagai, and John Stevens, a British drummer who has been active in the free jazz scene since the late 1960s. The album is dedicated to Johnny Mbizo Dyani, a South African bassist who was a fellow countryman of Pukwana and passed away in 1986. The nonstop, highly aggressive and energetic interplay goes on and on, with Pukwana sometimes playing soprano and piano, and Stevens playing mini-trumpet in addition to drums, expressing in sound the mourning for his departed friend. This Japanese pressing was released in 1989 in a limited edition of 300 copies.
